7pm “Upstairs Inferno.” Film screening. Showing now in LGBTQ film festivals throughout North America, Upstairs Inferno documents the largest mass murder of gays until Orlando—32 killed in the 1973 New Orleans arson fire of the Upstairs Lounge—a turning point in gay activism and outrage. Tickets $10. Location: Fritz Theatre.



Friday, Sept. 9th:

6:30pm-8:30pm “We Were Always Here—Centering Queer and Trans People of Colour.” A free, interactive workshop (open to everyone) on how to be a supportive and proactive ally to LGBTQ+ people of colour and Indigenous folks. Facilitated by Anoushka Ratnarajah.

ange hehr6pm onward “Loud and Proud.” Kick off Pride weekend at this great drop-in event. Enjoy food and drink specials all evening, and see the great Ange Hehr perform at 9pm. Location: Moby’s Pub.




Saturday, Sept 10th:
11am “Carnival of Pride and Protest.” Rally begins outside the Public Library on McPhillips Avenue.

12 noon Pride March / Parade begins at the Library, proceeds through town, then back to the Library to dance till 2pm.
